2nd 3D experiment

My Second 3D experiment started with B&W sketches.

I setup my cameras and camera animations with basic models

Another rough sketch is painted on top of the screenshot above.

I unfolded the mesh for the room and all of its objects, and paint the textures on the UV. The AVI quality was quite low so I decided to render the camera animations frame by frame. I then put the frames into Adobe Premier Pro.

I also painted 2D objects on top of a single frame and animated the 2D objects in
Premiere Pro.

The Result: Good, I like it!
This experiment is only 15 seconds long, lighting effects were done in Adobe After Effects.
I even played with place holder audio using Max Mclean's narration of the NIV Bible and Final Fantasy XII music by Hitoshi Sakimoto

3D Experiment

I started a 3D experiment a few months ago, starting with this establishing shot I painted in april.

I did story board sketches, and illustrated them before I desided to use Max and make a 3D environmemt.

I desided not to mess with real 3D lights, so I painted light and dark areas on the UVs.

 The result: not bad

Digging up the past: Story Illustrations

I thought I'd share some old story illustrations for a project that didn't quite materialise.

I also composed the illustrations into storyboards adding more images wherever necessary.

April and March Sketches

Environment drawing practice.

Rough sketches cleaned up in Photoshop. This was about guiding the eyes to the focus using line weight, detail and value. Something I didn't always purposefully do.

My room... in a world where I live alone and have triple the amount of coffee table books.

Here's some old rough illustration work for a cancelled project.

January paintings

My train reader: loosly based on a gesture I skeched on the train, the guy was on his phone and not as engaged.

hmm I still kind of like the rough, but this isn't too bad.
